The Wagenwerks™ 34 PICT-3 carburetor is a high-quality reproduction based on the Solex design, structurally and functionally mimicking the original Solex 34 PICT-3.
It was developed for air-cooled Volkswagens, focusing on reliability, crisp throttle response, and everyday drivability.

This carburetor is regularly installed in our own workshop and has proven to be a robust and functional solution for stock and near-stock engines.

Classification & History

The Solex 34 PICT-3 was the last and most technically advanced production carburetor for air-cooled VW boxer engines.
It was used ex works in the Beetle 1600, the T2 Bus, the Type 181, and the Type 147 Fridolin, among others.

The Wagenwerks™ 34 PICT-3 adopts precisely this proven technical concept.

A carburetor is not a plug-and-play component.

We recommend:
    •    Installation and tuning by a specialist workshop
    •    Checking ignition, vacuum leaks, vacuum, & automatic choke

Installation directly at our location, including basic tuning to the engine, vehicle weight, and intended use.

Carburetor problems almost always arise from:
