A professional engine rebuild is far more than just assembling individual parts. At WAGENWERKS™, every Stage 1 engine starts with an original VW magnesium crankcase that undergoes a complete and meticulous standard rebuild.

First, all sealing surfaces are precisely machined to ensure a perfect seal. The main bearing bore is bored and brought to the specified dimensions – the foundation for smooth, vibration-free engine operation. We also completely overhaul the camshaft bearings to ensure optimal valve timing.

Of course, every case is checked for cracks , because only an absolutely flawless base case guarantees you long-term reliability.

With new cylinder heads, pistons, and cylinder liners, your engine will have fresh compression and clean, efficient combustion. The entire rebuild is done exclusively with new bearings, gaskets, and sheet metal – uncompromisingly and professionally.

Finally comes the test bench : oil pressure, running characteristics, temperatures, and performance are tested under real-world conditions. Only when everything is perfectly harmonizing does the engine leave our division.
